I Stopped Begging To Be Loved And Started Showing Up For Myself

There was a time when I twisted myself into knots just to feel seen.
A time when I toned myself down, swallowed my dreams, and tried to earn love by being “easy to love.”

But not anymore.

Because now I know what it looks like to show up fully for myself.
And I know what kind of love I’m calling in.

I’ve written and rewritten what I want in a partner.
Not because I’m picky—
But because I finally understand my worth.

Because here’s the truth:

Love should not feel like proving.
Love should not be a constant test.
Love should never leave you questioning your worth.

I used to take breadcrumbs and call it a feast.
Now, I know I deserve a partner who meets me at the table—
With open hands, steady presence, and a heart that’s ready.

I want the kind of love that honors silence and celebrates growth.
Where communication is real, where presence is felt.
Where there’s space for my introverted side and my freedom-seeking spirit.
The person for me won’t fear my independence—they’ll love me for it.
Waving proudly as I take off on my solo motorcycle ride…
And be the soft place I land when I come home

So no, I won’t beg to be loved.
I won’t chase what’s lukewarm.
I won’t bend so far that I disappear.

Instead, I’ll keep showing up for myself—
Loving the woman I am, living in integrity with what I want.

Loving myself the way I want to be loved in a relationship.

Loving not only who I am but who I can become.

And I’ll trust that the kind of love I’ve written about, dreamed about, whispered to the universe about—
is on its way. I’m not asking for perfection.
But I am asking for real.

From the barn, with dirt on my boots and truth in my heart,
