Whisper With Horses

Horses have been my lifelong passion, shaping who I am and guiding me on an incredible journey of connection, healing, and purpose. From my earliest memories, I have felt a magical, unbreakable bond with these magnificent animals. As a child, my world revolved around horses—I talked about them endlessly, dreamed about them constantly, and found my greatest joy in their presence.
I was lucky to grow up on a farm where my parents supported my love for horses by keeping ponies to torture us in normal pony fashion, and for me to care for and ride. At the age of 12, I made one of the best decisions of my life: I bought my first horse. He remains with me to this day, a testament to the lifelong commitment and love I have for these magical creatures.
After graduating, I entered the workforce without a clear career path. I enjoyed driving and working independently, which led me to become a rural mail carrier. I spent 25 years serving with the U.S. Postal Service, dedicated to my work and my community. However, life has a way of leading us back to our true calling. When my body forced me to reevaluate my career path, I knew it was time to pursue what had always been in my heart and I dreamed about since I was a child—a career involving horses helping people.
Twenty years ago, I read an article about Touched by a Horse, a program founded by Melisa Pearce that integrates equine-assisted coaching and personal growth. While it intrigued me at the time, life’s demands kept me from pursuing it. As I was on my healing journey, searching for a new career, I knew I wanted to follow my dream. Creating a way to merge my love for horses with my desire to help others. I knew it was time to take the leap.
I enrolled in the two programs offered at Touched by a Horse. I have completed the intensive training to become a licensed Equine Facilitator™. This program has provided me with a deep understanding of equine-assisted coaching through workshops, allowing me to facilitate transformational experiences. I am proud to have graduated from the Equine Facilitator™ program. Through this training, I have gained access to 18 unique, copyrighted experiential workshops designed to help people develop leadership skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and rediscover their sense of purpose.
I am on track to complete my certification in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method™ in December 2025. When I become certified, I can begin coaching on a more personal level for individuals looking to seek clarity, heal their past, experience personal growth, and transform their lives.
I decided to go a different direction with web development. This is a quick overview of offerings and about me feel free to contact me for an exploratory call! Stay tuned for updated website!
Horses possess an extraordinary ability to sense and respond to human emotions. As prey animals, their survival instincts have been fine tuned over centuries, making them highly aware of energy, body language, and emotional states. This sensitivity allows them to provide real-time, honest feedback—helping us recognize patterns, process emotions, and bring awareness and insights into our own behaviors and thought processes.
Studies have shown that horses can help regulate the nervous system, lower blood pressure, and reduce cortisol levels. Research from the HeartMath Institute even suggests that a horse’s heart emits an electromagnetic field ten times larger than that of a human, influencing our own heart rate variability when we are in close proximity. This is why being around horses often brings a sense of calm, grounding, and emotional balance.
